The manager, Mike, is very personable and friendly and helpful. He gave me a coupon post purchase because it didn't make it into my initial sale. Very accommodating. I will be a loyal customer!!
I arrived at the same time as a bunch of food. I thought how nice it was of Firestone to feed their employees on a Saturday. Until I realized that the whole place stopped running. Every single employee in the place was sitting at a table together in the shop like a family Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, the customers are sitting in the waiting room watching them eat through the big glass window while their cars remain untouched. I love the cute group meal, but someone's gotta be working on the cars that have people waiting. Or at least throw us a ravioli. ;)
Got tires, alignment, and oil change. Made an appointment, which I think is a must because if you walk in, you risk a long wait.
Today was my appointment. I called to let them know I'd be late. The guy I spoke with was super friendly and funny, I'll give them that. He said just show up whenever, it'll be a nice quick battery change. Perfect.
Incredible waste of time.
Anyways, I dealt with it, figuring hey when all is said and done I'm getting a great deal on a desperately needed new battery.
An hour later, I see my car pull back out into the parking lot and I'm excited to get back on the road with a new battery. Then one of the employees came out and told me "Oh, by the way, that battery YOU selected doesn't fit your car. Sorry, we can't help you today. Apparently your car's battery is dealer issue only. We called out for some prices for you. It's about 3 times the price, and we can't get it here til Tuesday. Should we book that appointment?"
dont know why complaints. they were sooo helpful, friendly and professional. alex at front was wonderful. and its next to Dennys and Starbucks! so take your time!
When I tried to clarify that they were talking about the regular 12volt battery and not the hybrid one, another guy jumped in and responded very rudely, like I was an idiot who dare question them. They then asked again if I want to book that appointment. How they could think I would want anything to do with them is beyond me. It's like the guy who gets hammered and hits on your mom and then asks for a second date. No thanks, buddy.
I went on the Firestone site, entered the make and model of my car, chose a battery from the list of "compatible" options, chose the Leominster location and requested an appointment. Easy peasy. I got a notice that the Leominster location would review the request and send me a confirmation if all checks out. They did. Awesome, right?
Had a morning appointment, I waited for an hour, car never moved.
Will not waste my time with this place again.
I thought I needed brakes but they didn't rip me off. They told me brakes are fine. I got a great deal on tires and alignments for life.

They're not wrong. I now know that my battery is a stupid dealer-only model. However, that battery was shown to me as an option on the Firestone website (not Leominster's fault), then confirmed by their location through email and phone (their fault). Then I sit for an hour while they cram their craws and take their sweet time to tell me I'm SOL and act like it's my fault for not knowing any better. I'm not Handy Manny, that's why I was coming here in the first place.
